Peter Thomas Senese and I CARE Foundation Confirm New Film About International Parental Child Kidnapping

I am very pleased to confirm that I will be producing on behalf of the I CARE Foundation and Pacifica an upcoming feature documentary film 150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children focuses on the cataclysmic growth of international parental child kidnapping in the United States, Canada and abroad.  The film will dissect why the hideous crimes against innocent children has reached pandemic levels that have claimed so many lives and what can be done to prevent abduction, while also offering solutions that should be implemented that can help current child-victims of cross-border kidnapping.
The film's title 150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children originates from a widely distributed and cited study titled Crisis In America written by renown child advocate Carolyn Vlk (a member of the Board of Directors of the I CARE Foundation, and a member of the Special Advisory Board of the Amber Watch Foundation) and myself.  150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children is the average weighted forecast of that takes into consideration how many children living in The United States, Canada, and Mexico are anticipated to actually be internationally parentally kidnapped over the next ten years.
The film will bring viewers into several intriguing parental child abduction cases, through the legal system available to targeted parents and children, the psychological trauma of kidnapping and its affects, and eventually above a microscope looking at the government agencies and their existing policies responsible for protecting children. Paramount to the film's direction is the intent to offer new solutions to a serious social problem that in the United States alone is expected to cost the American economy over Six Billion dollars over the next decade.
150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children will also focus on how children of both parental and stranger-abductions are easily removed from one nation's border to another under existing policies in North America, and particularly in Europe.
The I CARE Foundation and several of it's Board of Director members have been studying key aspects of international parental child abduction for some time.  150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children will include substantial data and information based upon these unique and groundbreaking studies. Studies and information, I might add, that I fully expect will change the landscape of abduction prevention. Which is, by virtue, the mission of the I CARE Foundation.
And of course, I am thrilled to once again be working and writing with Carolyn Vlk, who is one of the brightest and most knowledgeable persons concerning abduction that I know.  In the past, Carolyn Vlk and I produced the important educational documentary film series Chasing Parents: Racing Into The Storms of Child Abduction that has come to benefit many targeted parents from around the world, as well as our publication of the most up-to-date resource guide on child abduction prevention and reunification titled The World Turned Upside Down.
As a storyteller deeply familiar with the world of child abduction, it is my personal hope that this film will not only raise awareness of parental abduction so targeted parents may act to protect their families, but it is my aspiration to also provide keen social insight into the horrors that exist so our lawmakers will move on new laws and policies that will help protect children in a similar manner that we accomplished through passage of Senate Resolution 543, the State of Florida's Child Abduction Prevention Law, the State of New York's and the State of California's criminal Cyber-Impersonation and Cyber-bullying laws, and the implementation of the highly effective abduction prevention tool - the federal Prevent Departure Program by the Department State in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security.
150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children  will be released during the late Spring - early Summer, 2013.

Similar to all projects associated with my work as a child advocate and steward raising awareness of child abduction, the 150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children film is personally financed through charitable donations from my business holdings.

For those of you interested in learning more about abduction and my writing, may I suggest you read my critically acclaimed novel Chasing The Cyclone - and remember, 100% of all my proceeds from sales of all my books are presently donated to the I CARE Foundation, which sure has created more than a few miracles for children.

Attorney Joel Walter, who is a member of the I CARE Foundation's board of directors and one of the best litigators I know, and who, over the course of many years, has represented many professional athletes and entertainers, and who is intimately involved in the upcoming production recently wrote, "The research on abduction the I CARE Foundation has and continues to conduct is critical to the fight to save children of kidnapping's lives.  In Mr. Senese's upcoming 150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children film, the work of the I CARE Foundation will act as the story's rudder, guiding the narrative into a solution-oriented universal message. On a personal note, I continue to be flawed at the deep committment of Mr. Senese, including using a tremendous amount of his personal resources, in our fight to help families in crisis.  As a critically acclaimed storyteller and one of the most committed and published child advocates around, combined with the data drawn from the I CARE Foundation's research, we expect 150,000 Internationally Kidnapped Children to become a socially important and influencial film.

The I CARE Foundation - Helping Protect Children From Abduction

New York Attorney Joel Walter & Peter Thomas Senese -
Goofing Off In 'Brooklyn Bridge Park'
It has been nearly a year since the not-for-profit I CARE Foundation began its formal operations as an advocacy research organization committed to help prevent the rocket-like growth of international parental child abduction.

Since we began, the foundation has counted completely on our own resources and capability to act on behalf of those we made commitments to aid, while pushing hard on deepening society's understanding on IPCA.

In the course of our business, we have helped bring home or protect dozens of children from abduction while building a national network of attorneys willing to help targeted parents and children of abduction.  We have also extensively launched a series of research projects aimed at guiding our legislative initiative activity. And we are building a legal database that lawyers all over the world may use to help fight abduction.

Today I spent some time reflecting on the many parents and children we have helped, or who we are trying to assist.

(L to R) Chris Morris, Eugene Pothy, Peter Thomas Senese
I have to admit, I am very fortunate: even though the circumstances of each of these initial relationships occurred during a difficult time in each of their lives, truth is many incredible friendships have been made.

And a long the way, the I CARE Foundation has helped reunite or prevent the abduction of dozens of children.  Which is more than cool ... I do believe in miracles.

In the coming weeks I will be sharing some important information about new legislation we are readying to launch.

I look forward to your support in our efforts to protect children from abduction.

Very truly yours,

Peter Thomas Senese

The Examiner News Story About The I CARE Foundation and Author Peter Thomas Senese - The Miracle Of A Book

Like every parent who has chased into the storms of international parental child abduction, I have been to He!! and back.  There is nothing that I can compare what it is like to be a chasing parent searching for your child.

Recently the Examiner published a fairly detailed article about the I CARE Foundation and our efforts to help children fighting cancer or who are targeted for international parental child abduction. The published story has a theme that I appreciate outside of my advocacy work, and that is books really can and do make a big difference in our lives.  Chasing The Cyclone has done that for a large and growing number of parents.

I invite you to read the Examiner story.

In the meantime, I urge all parents, particularly those involved in multi-cultural relationships that show signs of previous or ongoing strain to remember that the Christmas Holiday Season is a hightened time of the year when children get internationally abducted.  Please do not think this issue is not important to you - most every parent who has had their child stolen by the other parent didn't feel it was important either; however, with as many as 125, 000 American and 20,000 Canadian children expected to be internationally abducted over the next 10 years - it is worth 2 minutes of your time to understand.
I invite you to read more about the Christmas Holiday Season and Child Abduction

'Chasing The Cyclone's Peter Thomas Senese and The I CARE Foundation Has Helped Protect Dozens Of Targeted Children

Chasing The Cyclone
by
Peter Thomas Senese

I am pleased to share my deeply inspired novel Chasing The Cyclone continues to have a significant impact on a large and growing number of children and targeted parents of international abduction.  In fact, the natural progress of events beginning from the initial e-book publication of Chasing The Cyclone led to the creation of the not-for profit I CARE Foundation I am the Founding Director of.  I am happy to share that through the efforts of the I CARE Foundation dozens of children who have either been internationally kidnapped or who have been targeted for international abduction have either been safely reunited with their families or were actually protected from abduction, and remain safely home.

This is a fairly significant statement when considering that the foundation's volunteer reunification efforts represents a  sizeable percentage of all American children coming home (our efforts to reuntie children kidnapped to America are also noteworthy).

With 100,000 to 125,000 American children and nearly 20,000 Canadian children expected to be internationally kidnapped over the next 10 years, the success of Chasing The Cyclone and the I CARE Foundation is tempered by the reality that there is a long way to go. This notion is underscored by the reality that only 10% of all internationally kidnapped children come home. Think about it for a moment: three professional baseball stadiums filled with defenseless children - all disappearing.  The majority of children will never come home. Some simply can't: they are gone forever.

And this sentiment is not a piece of fiction: it is reality.  And it sucks. And it is worth standing up and fighting for.
Best-Selling Author
Peter Thomas Senese
I think for any author, the biggest goal when writing any book is to have an impact on your intended audience.  The financial success of a book is obviously important; however, the desire to influence others is the real desire.

And with dozens of children either rescued or protected from abduction thus far, combined with the many initiatives the I CARE Foundation has under way that will further help others, I am pleased with Chasing The Cyclone's impact thus far.

The American Flag
and
U.S. Senate Citation
Having seen first-hand the horrors of abduction, I am committed to continuing fighting this fight.  Fortunately, governments from around the world are taking notice of the I CARE Foundation's work - which means we're making a difference.

In fact, it was a tremendous honor and humbling experience to receive this majestic American Flag flown over the United States Capitol Building at the request of the Senate in appreciation for my volunteer work and support of the I CARE Foundation.

From Left to Right

I CARE Founder Peter Thomas Senese
Additionally, last month I had the opportunity to participate in the United State's Department of State's 'International Visitor Leadership Program' at the United State's Mission to the United Nations concerning the foundation's advanced work in child abduction and human trafficking prevention.  It was a great honor, particularly when considering some of the incredible global leaders who have previously participated in the program.

Unquestionably, the publication of 'Chasing The Cyclone' has helped many parents and children new laws have been passed, new policies implemented, and new legislation that could help stop abduction and trafficking is on the horizon - and children are home.

My financial commitment to the I CARE Foundation and support of the organization's efforts to help children remains steadfast as shared by I CARE Board Member, Hague Convention Attorney Network member and highly respect attorney Joel Walter in a very kind article he shared on his website. In fact, I have donated 100% of all of my various novel's proceeds over the past year to the I CARE Foundation: it is a commitment I intend to continue.

Being able to assist the I CARE Foundation has been a responsibility of mine that in truth has been a privilege to uphold.   But truth is, nearly seven years ago I never even knew the collective words international parental child abduction were.  Nor did I realize that I was one of a surging number of individuals who were not familiar with this vonocular.  And quite frankly, at that time, most individuals in society did not realize the severity of this crime or what a chasing parent will go through to safely bring home their child.  Nor did they realize that sociopathic tendancies of an abusive abductor, who, not only would kidnap a child, but would attempt to slander and defame the targted other parent because international law has established a loophole known as the 'Abductors Defense' (Hague Convention: Article 13) that know targeted parent is immune from.

Who knew that during the time I was Chasing The Cyclone, the promise I made to the God I worship would lead to my volunteer advocacy for children, with the result being the I CARE Foundation and all that the organization has achieved.

THE I CARE FOUNDATION
From the seed that is Chasing The Cyclone, this is a sampling of the things that have been accomplished:

1. The creation of the 501-C-3 Not-for-profit ‘International Child Abduction Research & Enlightenment’ Foundation' (I CARE Foundation
)  that was established to and has successfully rescued numerous internationally kidnapped children while conducting advanced research in the area of IPCA in order advocate for the creation of new laws that will protect children from international kidnapping.

2. Under the I CARE Foundation’s leadership, we have built a large national pro bono network of lawyers willing to assist parents who are targeted to have a child internationally kidnapped or who have had a child abducted while also launching a successful and ongoing recruitment campaign for lawyers to join the United States Department of State's Hague Convention Attorney Network; and,

3. Overseeing the legal rescue and reunification of numerous internationally kidnapped children; and,

4. Provided necessary resources required for numerous lawyers and targeted parents who were trying to prevent their child from being internationally abducted (see 'Senese Creates Arsenal Of Tools To Help Lawyers and Targeted Parents'); and,

5. Board Member Carolyn Vlk wrote the legislation for the State of Florida's Child Abduction Prevention Act while Board Member Peter Thomas Senese orchestrated lobbying efforts that led to the unanimous passage of the CAPA legislation into now effective law; and,

6. Successfully advocated for the federal implementation of the 'Prevent Departure Program' to be used as a tool to stop international parental child abduction; and,

7. Writer and advocate behind legislative initiatives to prevent international child abduction by modifying the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative; and,

8. Writer and advocate behind legislative initiatives to prevent international child abduction by modifying the Prevent Departure Program II; and,

9. The co-authoring and creation and FREE publication of the extensive 'The World Turned Upside Down' open-tablet E-book resource guide on IPCA; and,

10. The creation and production of the FREE ongoing educations documentary film on IPCA titled 'Chasing Parents: Racing Into the Storms of IPCA; and,

11. The co-authoring of the extensive research report titled 'Crisis In America: IPCAToday'; and,

12. The co-authoring of the extensive research report titled 'International Child Abduction and Human Trafficking In The Western Hemisphere'; and,

13. The creation of one of the most informative websites on IPCA; and,

14. The ongoing efforts to create additional federal laws that evolve around child abduction prevention.

15. The stout support and advocacy that led to the passage of on line impersonation laws such as those passed in the states of California and New York.

16. I have used significant book publication revenue to finance the recovery of internationally kidnapped children.

17. Upcoming I CARE Foundation sponsored educational legal training seminars for lawyers in the area of IPCA.

18.  A large and growing grass-roots effort to educate parents about the risks ofIPCA and child trafficking.

19.  A promise to continue my efforts to educate society about the issues of IPCA, use my resources whenever possible to assist others, and to work toward the passage of new laws that will protect children, as demonstrated in the sworn testimonials of my conduct.

20.  Recently participated in the U.S. Department of State's United State's Mission's International Global Visitor Leadership Program at the Untied Nations

All from a book called 'Chasing The Cyclone' that was inspired by the time in my life I was required to chase into the storms of abduction.

One final note, and this is personally extremely important to me to share.  Before I raised my voice and tried to make a difference in the fight against IPCA, there were, as there are today other wonderful advocates who have fought so hard to protect children by raising their voice, using their resources to fight a good fight, and to pass new laws that will protect children.  I recognize and applaud each of these individuals who make up the community of child advocates who are dedicated to protecting children.

I CARE Foundation Director Peter Thomas Senese Continues Significant Financial Support To Help Protect At-Risk Children

Published 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 17th, 2012 Los Angeles and New York
I CARE Foundation Director & Best-selling author Peter Thomas Senese, the author of several internationally heralded novels including 'Chasing The Cyclone', 'The Den of the Assassin', and 'Cloning Christ' has donated 100% of his e-book royalties to the I CARE Foundation, a not-for-profit organization created to help stop international child abduction. The I CARE Foundation's primary activity is focussed on conducting research in the area of international child abduction and using that research to pursue legislative inititiaves that will help protect at-risk children.  However, the organization has been extremely successful in assisting a growing number of parents either reunite with their children or protect their children from abduction.

Best-selling author Peter Thomas Senese is writing with a deep purpose: royalties generated from his critically talked about novels have and will continue to be donated to the I CARE Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable organization the writer is a director of that was created to help prevent international child abduction.
Peter Thomas Senese's resources have been put to great use: the I CARE Foundation has been able to orchestrate the return of numerous children this past year who were internationally kidanapped.
Three international thriller E-books by best-selling author, filmmaker, and child advocate Peter Thomas Senese have been the primary financial resource of the I CARE Foundation. Fortunately, top book critics are raving about the writer's geopolitical must read, inspirational thrillers. Peter Thomas Senese's geopolitical novels include CHASING THE CYCLONE, THE DEN OF THE ASSASSIN, and CLONING CHRIST written by best-selling geopolitical thriller writer Peter Thomas Senese. All three titles are available in E-book. Chasing The Cyclone will be released in hardcover this February, while both CLONING CHRIST and THE DEN OF THE ASSASSIN are presently available in hardcover.
Commented Peter Thomas Senese, "It has been extremely pleasing to know that my writing has served a higher purpose: to help protect children.  Fortunately, I have had the means to make a difference in this fight. Additionally, it has been incredible to see, as an author, the incredible impact of Chasing The Cyclone . . . so much started from the idea of a book.  That seed has grown into the I CARE Foundation, which I am thrilled to be a part of."
Highly respected New York City based attorney Joel Walter, a board member of the I CARE Foundation commented, "It has been a very good year for the I CARE Foundation with respect to our efforts to conduct important research in the area of IPCA, undertake several important projects that will optimize technology to help assist stakeholders protect targeted children, prepare our legislative initiatives, and of course, help bring home or protect a significant number of children at risk of the horrible crime of abduction. Along the way, Peter Thomas Senese's leadership and financial support of the I CARE Foundation has been extremely generous.  His gifting comes from not only the direct donation of sales from his novels, but also directly from his own resources.  I will never forget when Peter was forced into the storms of abduction - I was there from the beginning and was the first person he turned to when we filed his own Hague Convention application- he said he would do his best to make a difference in this fight to help children.  A fight I quickly joined him on.  And so, our work continues years later in great part initially because Peter was willing to step up."

Peter Thomas Senese Makes Significant Donation To The I CARE Foundation: Helps Protect Children

                                          THE I CARE FOUNDATION
I am pleased to share that I have made another significant donation to the I CARE Foundation as the organization prepares to move on new legislative initiatives that will help protect children. Like anything, financial resources are vital to the ability of making things happen. And I can't think of anything more worthwhile in my advocacy than protecting children from abduciton and trafficking.

Incenitve to do so? Reminders of why this was important?

Perhaps my fellow I CARE Foundation Board member Joel S. Walter, who I think happens to be one of the best family law attorneys in New York City said it best when he shared, "Your continual financial support and dedication to children through your generous financial support of the I CARE Foundation has had a great influence on so many lives. Truth is, our work continues to protect at-risk children. Thank you for your support and effort my old friend."

Well, Joel, if you're reading this, you know I am happy to play my role to help others.

At the beginning of the 2012 New Year, I made a series of financial donations to the I CARE Foundation for operations expenses as well as providing some resources to assist children of international parental child abduction.  In addition, I pledged to donate 100% of my e-book royalites from my international thrillers including 'Chasing The Cyclone', 'The Den of the Assassin', and 'Cloning Christ' to the I CARE Foundation outside of any other contributions I intended.

Here is what some of the results of what we've been able to accomplish so far:

2. The I CARE Foundation has helped prevent a large number of international kidnappings.

3. The I CARE Foundation has continued to build a national pro bono network of attorneys willing to assist at-risk children.

4. The I CARE Foundation has worked hard to continue to create new laws that will protect at-risk children.

5. The I CARE Foundation has created various campaigns to help raise awarenss of child abduction so children can be protected.

Please find below is part of the promise I made nearly a year ago to help others: the donation of my book revenue generated from Barnes & Noble to the I CARE Foundation.

Here are sworn testimonials from other parents who I and the I CARE Foundation have helped along the way. They speak loud and clear.

Best-selling geopolitical thriller author Peter Thomas Senese and Pacifica Publishing are pleased to announce the critically acclaimed international legal thriller Chasing The Cyclone is now available atBarnes & Noble in e-book for Nook readers. Previously, Chasing The Cyclone was made available exclusively on Amazon as Mr. Senese donated 100% of his royalties to the I CARE Foundation, an organization created to assist parents
and children targeted for abduction.
Peter Thomas Senese commented, "I am pleased to share that Chasing The Cyclone is now available at Barnes & Noble for Nook users for download. Barnes & Noble is a vital institution for readers and writers alike. As we prepare for Chasing The Cyclone's upcoming international hardcover release, along with some other important news related to this story and international child abduction, I am pleased to share that 100% of my author royalties earned from Chasing The Cyclone e-book sales at Barnes & Noble will be donated to the I CARE Foundation.
Critics have praised Peter Thomas Senese's Chasing The Cyclone.
The New York Journal of Books said of Chasing The Cyclone, "Chasing The Cyclone is a well-written thriller . . . Senese shares myriad emotions by writing in the first-person as he weaves through the action in this suspense-filled story . . . This novel might also be considered a treatise on international child abduction. Cyclone, while full of actual strategies and resources to assist parents in international abductions, is above all else a love story about a father and son ... From Los Angeles, to Canada, to New Zealand, and eventually, Macau, a special administrative region of China, Cyclone is rife with international intrigue and suspense. The protagonist, Paul Francesco, orchestrates a master plan that he hopes will reunite him with the love of his life - his son. Along the way he finds himself swamped in red tape and drenched in frustration. Filled with a plethora of powerful characters and puzzling predicaments and dead ends, the story moves quickly . . . Cyclone will leave you informed and satisfied . . . you will be reluctant to put down."
The Examiner stated, "Peter Thomas Senese is a gifted storyteller who takes readers on a heart pounding journey around the globe through the eyes of Paul Francesco, a father whose 7-year old son is abducted by his mother. The writing is raw and the emotions are real . . . The story is filled with twists and turns that will leave readers scratching their heads, seething in anger, and hugging their children a little tighter . . . I highly recommend Chasing the Cyclone as a must-read. You will not be able to put it down. It may very well change the way you look at life, child custody, and interactions with your child's other parent. I cannot endorse this book strongly enough."
Peter Thomas Senese's inspirational legal thriller is one that perhaps few other writers could have written with such intimacy, familiarity, and depth of understanding: it is a story of a father doing everything possible to find and reunite with his internationally abducted child that is Peter Thomas Senese's Chasing The Cyclone, which is heavily inspired by the writer's own experience chasing into the cyclones of international child abduction. Since his own experiences ended, and fulfilling a promise that he made, Mr. Senese has had a significant impact on creating various tools to assist targeted children and parents, including the creation of The I CARE Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to stopping child abduction that has successfully reunited numerous internationally abducted children with their parents, or has assisted in the prevention of an abduction. In fact, Peter Thomas Senese is donating 100% of his author royalties to the I CARE Foundation. One of the major successful undertakings of the I CARE Foundation's is the public campaign to build the Department of State's Hague Convention Attorney Network of pro bono lawyers willing to assist targeted children of abduction,
